Jake’s first spoken word was “truck”, so to say that he has always loved trucking would not be an exaggeration. Over the years, Jake’s interest in big rigs grew steadily. He is a third generation truck driver and entrepreneur. Both of his grandfathers were truckers and two of his uncles drove and owned trucking companies. By the time Jake was 13-years-old, he was spending summers and after-school hours working for his family by sweeping the warehouse and unloading trucks for his uncle’s trucking company. At the age of 16, Jake began making local deliveries in a pickup truck throughout his hometown of Salt Lake City, Utah. Jake received his Commercial Driver’s License when he was 18-years-old and relocated to Nacogdoches, Texas soon after to begin a dispatching job with Soil Fertility of Texas. He eventually decided to go back on the road pulling a flatbed trailer in order to support his growing family. Jake’s lifelong dream of owning his own trucking company came to fruition when he purchased a pickup truck and gooseneck trailer and began hauling “hotshot” loads throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
Jake has logged nearly 2 million miles using several different types of trailers, including flatbeds, step-decks, multi-axle RGNs and steerable trailers. He discovered that his favorite loads to haul were oversized and overweight. He enjoys the thrill and challenge. In 2010, Jake decided to take the experience and knowledge he’s gained over the years and become an independent agent operating terminals for both DD&S and NHH.
Trucking is in my blood, and diesel runs through my veins. I have spent my whole life in the transportation business, and I love it. The experience that I have had on the truck and behind the wheel has given me the opportunity to understand all facets of this business. I understand what it takes to move large loads, how to move them safely, and the many challenges a driver experiences. To many of our customers, that experience is essential.”
- Jake Chidester
April Chidester is the Operations Manager for Complete Heavy Haul and, as you may have guessed, Jake’s other half. She graduated in 2013 with a BBA in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University in their hometown of Nacogdoches, Texas. After a short 5 year career in banking, she took a break to stay home and raise her growing family. In 2016, she decided it was time to reenter the workforce. Jake persuaded her to join the family business, and she began by dispatching drivers. Without any prior knowledge of trucking this did seem like a daunting task, but she was up for the challenge. She enjoys interacting and growing relationships with the customers and the drivers. She prides herself on keeping our customers updated and instilling trust and confidence in them. “I love making our customers happy. The easiest way I can do that is by communicating with them.” She now oversees operations and is loving her new role at Complete Heavy Haul.
HEAVY HAUL MANAGER
ESCORT AND TRAILER TECHNICIAN
Martin was born in Belt River, Alberta, CA and raised in Coutts, AB on a family farm. He got his start in trucking at 17 years old when a gentleman with a suspended license approached him in a bar offering $1,100 to drive his truck and pull a 9-axle trailer from Montana to Idaho. I guess you could call it love at first site because Martin has been trucking ever since. Martin’s favorite trailer to pull is a THP/CA Dual Lane Bolster on turn tables, and he performs the best when someone says it can’t be done. With Martin’s wealth of knowledge and experience, he has been given the task of building and managing our heavy haul team.
Coincidentally, Martin found his second love in a bar in 1995 at Eagles Nest in Oklahoma. Her name is Emmy. It was Emmy’s first night bartending, she got Martin drunk, they talked for 7 hours, and spent the next few years as best friends. In 2001, Emmy started escorting Martin on his loads. She rode with Martin in the passenger seat and knew exactly how he liked things done. Not long after, Martin told his friend, “I’m going to marry that girl”, and that’s what happened 6 months later in 2003. Martin and Emmy have 7 children all together, and 4 grandchildren.
Emmy was born in Bristow, OK and raised in Debew, OK where her and Martin live now. She was hired as an escort/trailer technician, can outwork any man, and fits perfectly standing up under the goldhofer.
Martin and Emmy make a point to enjoy their time together spent on the road. Some of their favorite memories have been seeing the Beatles live, visiting Mt. Rushmore, and Crazy Horse in South Dakota. In their free time you can catch Emmy at the slots and Martin at the blackjack table at the nearest casino.
Noelle has been in dispatching for over 10 years. She started at The City of Dallas taking emergency calls and dispatching city services such as water, animal, transportation etc. In 2010, she moved to East Texas where she began dispatching for Shelby County Sheriff’s office and a local ambulance service. She moved on to the oilfield in 2014 until she decided she was ready for the challenge of heavy haul. In 2018 she joined Complete Heavy Haul as our lead dispatcher. She has quickly proven herself to be the “missing piece” that our office desperately needed. Her drive, eagerness to learn this crazy business, and her sincere concern and desire to help our drivers make her a great asset to the company. She enjoys reading, being a mom to her cats, and making us all laugh.

David was born and raised in Atwater, CA and relocated to East Texas after his service in the United States Navy ended in 2002. In the Navy, he served as an aircraft hydraulic engineer and received a letter of accommodation from a Two-star Admiral. Following his naval career, David hired on as a maintenance mechanic for Pilgrim’s Pride and worked his way up to being manager over the refrigeration department at their largest prepared foods facility. He designed and engineered a new refrigeration system to increase its capacity, which is still in use today. After his time with Pilgrim’s, he was given the opportunity to enter the sales world working for Texas Classic Productions. During this time, he found his niche for sales and was promoted to vice president of their sales department. Now that he has joined our team, David is enjoying his time learning about the trucking industry and looks forward to building our sales department. When David isn’t working, you can usually find him at home working in the yard or looking for something to fix. He’s the best kind of neighbor to have, and never thinks twice about assisting others when they need help. He enjoys traveling the world with his wife of 20 years and their 5 children. He’s definitely a good guy to have around.
Alina Landeros joined our team in August of 2019 as an assistant to Jake with some dispatching responsibilities. She came highly recommended for her organizational skills and attention to detail. Before her time with us, Alina worked as a legal assistant for 3 years in Lufkin, Texas. When Alina isn’t working, she stays busy with her two children and cat that she is allergic to. Alina loves to bake, decorate cakes, spend time outdoors, and visits the beach as often as she can.
